That includes parents, town employees, business people, educators, young adults, the Recreation Commission and many interested volunteers. Our program succeeds, and our children learn and benefit because of your dedication, and willingness to help. ...The Haverhill Recreation Commission offers a full range of recreational activities for Town residents and those of surrounding communities. The popular summer youth program, HARP, is offered every summer. Beginning in the summer 2003 season the Recreation Commission has operated the Woodsville Pool which will be an important part of the HARP program and will also be open to the public. This is being done in cooperation with the Woodsville Fire District which retains ownership of the pool facility. The Recreation Commission now coordinates all little league activities in the Town and has developed a youth basketball program and softball program. Other popular programs include Haverhill Haunted Happenings at Halloween and the Winterfest Winter Carnival.
