Cultural And Interpretive Center History

....Alumni Hall, the 19th century Grafton County Courthouse and 20th century Haverhill Academy auditorium and gymnasium has been preserved and revitalized through the efforts of Haverhill Heritage, Inc., a non-profit organization formed in 1994 to assure the preservation and appropriate reuse of three historic public buildings in the Haverhill Corner National Register Historic District.

....A grand opening of Alumni Hall Cultural and Interpretive Center was held on May 21, 2005. Community members who would like to be a part of this plan for fine and performing arts programs and a center where visitors may learn about the history and attractions of the region are encouraged to call us.

....This handsome historic gem, with its antique chandelier saved from the Woodsville Opera house (see below), is also for rent. It has already been used for two antiques auctions, a church benefit and an art show. The large open hall with beautiful arched windows and the new, small addition are suitable for a variety of events from sizable public gatherings to private reunions, weddings, art shows, crafts shows, demonstrations or meetings.
